The Power CrankTM
is the heart of the steering and suspension system. The primary purpose
for creating the Power CrankTM was to
eliminate the play that is always found in the steering bell crank!
The bearing used in the Power CrankTM
is either a full length needle roller, or a sealed ball roller bearing.
With proper greasing, these bearings will easily outlast the sled
they’re installed in. No play in the bellcrank ever!!
By increasing the length of the drag
link arm, the amount of effort required to steer the sled is reduced.
Translation - it means that smaller, lighter duty riders can ride longer
and faster without becoming as tired.
Stress relieved, heat treated 4130
chrome moly steel is used in the construction, as well as the heliarc
welding. This makes for a stronger piece that is less susceptible to
bending than the stock unit.
A complete Power CrankTM
assembly weighs approximately 25% less (except the Arctic Cat) than the
factory part they replace. Color coordinated epoxy powder coating makes
it an eye catching and attractive component.
